I just threw on So Peter Gabriel is one of the few remaining acts on my bucket list to see live. I finally managed to see him when they were touring the So album with the 1987 band a few years ago. Totally worth it. |

Never heard a Peter Gabriel solo album - is So the one to start with? Probably. That album had several hits, so you're going to know like half the songs right away. Also, Kate Bush sings on "Don't Give Up". |

I prefer Security, but So was the big album for him.
Having said that, Peter Gabriel is one of those acts that, sadly, I do not really care about anymore. I had been super into him when is was QtrtoTen, but, now that I am ten15, I can't be bothered.
Other bands/acts that fall into this category are Genesis, Depeche Mode and, to a lesser extent, Violent Femmes.

I prefer Security, but So was the big album for him. I listened to Security today. Reminded me that at one point, Radiohead was supposed to record a cover of "Wallflower" but AFAIK it never happened. |

Last week, Arctic Monkeys released their sixth album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. Like their previous five records, it has now reached No. 1 on the UK charts, according to the Official Charts Company. In addition, it’s broken a chart record: With 24,500 vinyl copies sold, it is the fastest-selling vinyl LP of the past 25 years. (The record was previously held by Liam Gallagher’s As You Were, which sold 16,000 in its first week.)

I just threw on So Peter Gabriel is one of the few remaining acts on my bucket list to see live. He played my area a few years back, but it was some kind of stripped down show with no drums, I had no interest in seeing something like that. |

So I was searching around for a hotel in Chicago for Radiohead weekend and now both Hotwire and kayak do this thing where they’re like here’s a hotel at a reasonable rate... and surprise it’s a tiny room you share with 3 strangers! I only find this out because I google the name of the place and look through their website. Seems kinda sketchy that they advertise as a hotel on these travel sites but are actually hostels. May have to start looking at which hotels I get a good AAA deal with.

If you end up going Friday it might be easier to crash at my place that night where I am also going to Radiohead (don't have a ticket yet but cant see a scenario where i don't pony up and buy one) and than someone else (not gonna pimp tweet out there) saturday just on a pure basis of trying to get in touch with me after 7 hours of an open bar but if it comes down to it both nights work no big deaallll

It sounds like lots of people are going to Radiohead and I am too, would anyone be in if I tried to organize a board dinner or at least meetup at a bar one of those two days before the show? Friday one would be a bit easier but could make either work
Edit- after party at a nearby bar Friday also very very doable

i was just saying i think i might be the boarder closest to the UC at this point and also have a huge living room and couch  BUT BOSMA CAN CHOOSE WHOEVER HE LIKES. lots of good early dinner options for both nights. i can put in a name if we need to. |
