I find it very hard to believe that they would do that to the kiddos in 2020. Kendrick v. MCR makes a lot of sense Also do you doofuses really think Lizzo is a south stage headliner in 2020 Yes

I wasn't there but I saw pics of the Arctic Monkeys crowd vs Travis Scott, Lolla doesn't care - both fields are huge.

For real who is gonna be the "remember this band" booking in the middle of the day on the shell that I'll get all excited about for no discernible reason? (Think Third Eye Blind, All Time Low, Live, etc.)
All American Rejects? Simple Plan? Bowling For Soup?
What are some bands you remember?

Has Lizzo started playing arena shows yet? Being a huge draw at festivals and being able to fill arenas are definitely two, very different things.

The primary difference is Bonnaroo has 2 giant headliners so the others don’t have to pull any weight. Future was the fourth billed in 2017 and was not a headliner at lolla

Live & 3EB worked because all the 30 somethings (and older) flocked to the shell to bask in nostalgia from a band playing the middle of the day who they actually recognized. Counting Crows or Goo Goo Dolls would probably do the trick. Alanis would have worked as well but she's obviously out.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lizzo was the top sub or 5-8. I'd be surprised if she is top 4 though

Let's make this happen. All American Rejects are playing Concord and for some reason I might end up there

Lizzo as a sub is hilarious I'd argue that Lizzo is about as big as Post Malone was in 2018, it's really not that far fetched. I do think she will be 5-8 though

I do think she will be 5-8 though Post Malone 2018 album sales: 3,251,000+, 3 #1 singles, and a #2 and a #3 Lizzo 2019 album sales: 500k as of the beginning of October., 1 #1 single, nothing else all that close

This goes along with the Green Day playing riot fest thing where the echo chamber psychosis of the board makes everyone agree that something that obviously isn’t true is likely and factual

By all indications, Lizzo is headlining Bonnaroo. C3 also saw the crowd she drew at ACL (it was pretty insane Weekend 2) and loves to have noteworthy female headliners at Lolla. She's going to be a North Stage headliner if she plays.
All that said, I want to be the fool who continues to hold out a flickering flame of hope for Pearl Jam this year. Ten Club board members who were in the know for the EU tour, say a US tour announcement and a new album are imminent and have been hinting at spring arena dates across the country.
Among those hints, they've confirmed an Saint Louis date, and ruled out any stops in Indiana, Detroit or Milwaukee.
Now it's entirely possible that PJ just comes around and plays Wrigley again in August or forgo Chicago entirely, but the cities they're skipping (which would typically fall under Lolla's target radius -- STL is just outside/on the cusp), the timing of the end of their EU run and the tie-into Lolla elsewhere this year makes me think this might be it.
Obviously we'll know more when the tour is officially announced.
