does anyone have any opinions on Hotel Versey? I'm thinking about staying there for part of the week Did that used to be the Days Inn on Diversey? If so, kinda cool location. Hopefully, with the name change they also spent some money on the rooms. I understand they were both small and old. Can't do anything about small, but hopefully it is better than the standard Days Inn finishes.

So, at least everything (beds, furniture, carpet) should be new.

Those are some pretty decent last minute prices when you consider there are two festivals here next weekend and the Phish shows.

I guess my rate was $169, and not $190, and it has free cancellation (hoping i don't need that though), so I'm good where I'm at...forgot that it actually dropped when I added an extra day. Thanks for the suggestions though.

If anyone is feeling adventurous, the new Ace Hotel in the west loop has preview rooms available for $259 a night.
"Chicago dogs, sweeping sunset views, summer in the windy city. We’re offering pre-opening stays in our rooms during July and August. As we work on dotting the i's and crossing the t's for our September 1 opening, there may be light construction noise during business hours. But our wifi is up, coffee's brewing, and our partner Jason Vincent of Giant will be offering new menu items for the restaurant's soft opening. This is a chance to visit us before our autumn opening and be the first to sleep in our beds. Rumor has it only a few rooms will be available each night. See you soon."
