It was the best festival experience ever to wear jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt to Pofo in 2009.
2006 was pretty good: Hot Machines, Chin Up Chin Up, Man Man, Band of Horses, Mountain Goats, Destroyer, Art Brut, Ted Leo, The Walkmen, The Futureheads, Silver Jews, Tapes n Tapes, Danielson, Jens Lekman, The National, Liars, Aesop Rock/Mr. Lif, Mission of Burma, Glenn Kotche, Yo La Tengo, Spoon, Os Mutantes
2008 was great: Mission of Burma, Sebadoh, Public Enemy all playing full albums on Friday night. Then Sat/Sun included Titus Andronicus, Jay Reatard, Fleet Foxes, The Hold Steady, Jarvis Cocker, Boris, King Khan and the Shrines, M. Ward, Spiritualized, Dinosaur Jr. and Spoon (also Vampire Weekend and AnCo).

Drifty mentioned that Urbanbelly is BYOB on Sunday. That could be an option if you don't want to organize getting 20 people to breakfast house at the same time. Urbanbelly has plenty of room so people could just show up whenever. i have my doubts about it being that spacious at a venue literally across from the festival, but i haven't gone in a long time so i could be wrong (do they even do reservations?) breakfast house is just far away enough that we can usually get a big group there with no problem and still walk to the fest. also something something tradition A few of us went before the fest on Friday last year and it seemed pretty spacious. They don't take reservations, but I don't think that would really be an issue. Just throwing it out there I'm cool with wherever. Which day were thinking for Breakfast House ?

I'm interested in a potential brunch, but convincing Mrs. Pale Hose that she's responsible for the pup all morning & night while I'm at a music festival might be a challenge. Please post in here whenever/wherever you guys decide and I'll do my best.

We can't do Sunday, either. I'm honestly not even sure about Saturday, but we might be able to join everybody if something happens that morning.

we usually aim for brunch at 11 but it usually takes til 1130 for everyone (usually my group lol) to get there. food doesnt take that long but we all usually bring too much alcohol and have to stay to finish it.
usually a ~2 hour affair

maybe we could push brunch up a little so people can get to the fest for first sets?

It does seem like folks are more invested in the early sets than usual this year.

It was the best festival experience ever to wear jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt to Pofo in 2009. current weather forecast is pretty incredible. chicago people, i assume even at a high of 75, jeans are not advisable, right?

I've worn jeans this summer when it's been in the 70s As long as the humidity isn't high you should be fine

i guess that's the question - is it as humid in chicago as it's been in nyc?
i can't stand shorts. but i'll prolly wear them to the fest anyway and then change into jeans at my hotel before meeting folks out.
honestly, as i was telling avb yesterday, figuring out what to wear at pitchfork is my least fav part of the experience. always gives me anxiety.

Well if it rains on Saturday and we get evacuated, that's your chance for a free entrance.
