I’m 100% positive the raconteurs album is garbage but that paragraph is hilarious. “Unlike their closest contemporary, popular rap supergroup the Wu Tang Clan, Jack White would never put himself in the place of a shaolin samurai in Staten Island, instead he’s too busy with songs about doing “guitar solos” and “being a blues guy.”

Look if we’re doing a critical reappraisal of Slipknot we need to get Nickelback and Creed done as well
I’m not even joking

You don’t get credit for recognizing units moved 20 years after the fact

Honestly Nickelback is fine. A 45th percentile band. Could be worse.

After one listen it's hard to imagine pitchfork giving this album an 8.1 but whatever I'm sticking with it.

1. Doubt they’ll review the Slipknot album
2. If they do it’ll get a 6.6 - 7.4

i love how they've avoided talking about metal for a few years now and then suddenly were like "well maybe we should reconsider................
what's Slipknot up to?"
generous review tbh

It seems like they do 1-2 metal albums a month, and like wretched said, they're usually albums that are already on the average metalhead's radar.
