That's not the lineup for me, but it's obviously good. Please Bjork show in Chicago at some point this year Same, I struggle with this every year (not very hard admittedly). Good but never quite does it for me. Glad we already saw Bjork and Frank at an LA fest not too long ago. |

Sunday is the best day of a US fest so far this year. Friday is pretty stacked too. That said, I'm surprised how little of the deep undercard I recognize outside of Friday. My "would see" list stops after the Breeders on Sat and Sudan Archives on Sunday. But that's very nitpicky - this is a great lineup.

there's nothing on the coachella lineup that interests me, and more or less that's true of bonnaroo and boston calling as well. I have no use for rhcp any more, if I ever did, but I like that Bottlerock has Leon Bridges, Nile Rodgers and Chic, and Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs, and no one else has so far.

I think this line-up is fantastic and even though the headliners aren't really for me, there are so many special things in the undercard that remind me of what sets Coachella apart. Yet all my friends who have done festivals with me in the past are completely meh on this. Lots of gripes about not enough rock, mainstream rap or pop acts.
I know Bad Bunny is huge deal, and that Frank performing is basically a pilgrimage event for his diehard fans but... I am genuinely curious how this will ultimately sell/hold up on the 2nd hand market. Coachella requires so much to attend (both in terms of costs and logistics), I wonder how many people who may have just seen Bad Bunny or Blackpink on their recent tours are going ultimately go through all the effort to be there. Beyond that, how many people who don't care about them will be persuaded by the rest of the line-up?
Ultimately, probably going to wait this one out for a while and the resale market is soft so I can talk my friends into it at a more reasonable cost.

I have a commitment that weekend, but my friends are also decidedly more hype about the Bottlerock line-up. It's definitely geared toward the older crowd, but it's the best mix of acts I've seen them pull off so far. |
