Speculative/Hinted/Rumored: Arctic Monkeys (stated they would) Deerhunter (2-3 year album cycle) Atlas Sound (been playing more shows lately) Titus Andronicus (same as above) No Age (hinted at it on their FB page, and said a full tour in 2018 so...) Swervedriver (stated new album in 2018)Father John Misty (stated he has another album of material ready) Iceage Ought (just joined Matador and is expecting a release in 2018) Nothing (stated they were in the studio) Preoccupations Perfect Pussy Hop Along (3 year album cycle so far) Beach House (2-3 year album cycle) The Soft Moon (2-3 year album cycle) Anderson .Paak (2 year album cycle so far) White Lung (2 year album cycle) Screaming Females (hinted on FB, 2-3 year album cycle) Parquet Courts (non solo albums) Mikal Cronin (2 year album cycles) Speedy Ortiz (2 year album cycles, tho Sadie put out a solo EP this year) Spiritualized (Peace insinuated it was coming in 2017, but obvs didn't) Cat Power (FB post awhile back stated she's almost done with her next album) The Wrens (probably not) A Perfect Circle (probably not) Tool (don't bother) Kim Gordon (solo project, not Body/Head) Interpol (time for another shitty album) Panda Bear (3-4 year album cycles, so a possibility) A Place to Bury Strangers (3 year album cycles) My Bloody Valentine (gah....) Confirmed: Mimicking Birds - Layers of Us (january 26th)Potential GOAT year. I hope the Mimicking Birds album doesn't suck so I can call them an early AOTY contender.

Thank you. Our friend Sam did the painting many years ago. It wasn't cheap to have scanned btw. I also animated it for a youtube clip since we have yet to make a proper video.

Yesterday, Justin Timberlake announced the release of his new album Man of the Woods. Now, he has confirmed some of the details about the record. It features his previous collaborators the Neptunes and Timbaland, as well as collaborations with Alicia Keys and country artist Chris Stapleton, according to a press release. Timberlake has also announced the title of the album’s first single: “Filthy.” The song is due out January 5, along with a music video directed by Mark Romanek, who previously shot the visuals for Timberlake’s 2016 hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” The song was written by Timberlake and Timbaland along with James Fauntleroy and Larrance Dopson.

wow his voice really does not work over just a piano I agreed with you at first but on the second listen it didn't bother me as much. I'm digging it atm.

Not to pile on, but man that’s really not what I’m looking for in a Titus song.
I know The Most Lamentable Tragedy was too long, but there was some really good stuff on there. “Fired Up” -> “Dimed Out” absolutely ripped.

c-o-r-r-e-s-p-o-n-d-e-n-c-e.com/For 2018, Jens Lekman has launched a new project called Correspondence. It will be a back-and-forth communication through song between Lekman and fellow Swedish musician Annika Norlin (of Hello Saferide and Säkert!). There will be a new song each month, with six songs by each artist in total, and Lekman is starting off the chain with one called “Who Really Needs Who.”

definitely spun it about 12 times on the way to work. excellent start to the new album (tho i'm still trying to picture a man in the woods who would be sampling dubstep sounds)
