Was there someone better even available to book? Pearl Jam thats a good one. Replace RHCP with Pearl Jam and I think the initial reaction to this fest is more positive for sure |

I think the average Lolla goer would rather see RHCP frankly. I have no clue who would actually get more people to buy tickets.

Pearl Jam will never play Lolla again and Foos, Green Day and Metallica played within the last two headliners. The Killers or RHCP were always destined to top rock act this year.

Would have been a good way to try and push some of those RHCP buyers into 4-day passes. Perhaps it still feels "too soon" since they headed up Riot 2 years agi. |

QotSA (tho I think they headline Riot Fest first)
Blink-182 if they ever wanna do fests again
Same with Fall Out Boy I guess
My Chemical Romance (Are they gonna keep doing stuff or what?)

What's the scotch on single days? How much/when will they post lineups by day? Probably will end up being $120 per day. Usually announced mid to end of May. |

Obviously Coachella has a lot more depth, but I feel like "Kendrick Lamar - Billie Eilish - Red Hot Chili Peppers" would have been received better than their actual Top 3 this year.

Blink-182 if they ever wanna do fests again I feel like the cycle for some of the bands like this with the reunion bump is a year of their own shows capitalizing as much as possible then a year of double dipping as many fest booking fees as they can. Blink will probably do that |

I think they actually post the day by day lineups when tickets go on sale (this Thursday) now. They sell single days and 4 days at the same time. The actual schedule of who plays when doesn't come out until mid-May |

lol I don't think regular non-nerds compare these fests to each other at all, When we were talking reception I figured we were talking about among very online people
it's a pointless discourse, but I'm not procrastinating at work talking about a fest I'll never go to with the intention of having any sort of important discourse, im just bored. and this fest will sell just fine regardless of my opinion of how boring the bookings are, but I figured if there's any place I can throw out an opinion it should be on a place filled with people with tens of thousands of messages on a music festival message board
