i expected thursday's metro show would be announced today. usually they do morning announcements. there's no way metro's dark on thursday, right?

I can’t remember what they did for Green Day last year It was announced on a Tuesday, tickets on sale Wednesday, show on Friday. I think the only other time they've cut things this close was Chance, The Rapper in 2016. His Sunday Metro show was announced day of with in person ticket sales only. |

Holy shit I'd have to take out a loan on my house to get drunk at this fest. I like how the wine options are either weak as hell white/rosé or red wines that are too full-bodied to enjoy drinking outside on a hot day. That said, I'd probably have the latter. Also, am I misremembering or wasn't a bottle of wine like $30-40 at this festival just last year? (edit...looked it up and a bottle was $30 in 2019, and $38 in 2021...last year, they were more, but not as bad as this year) |

Yesterday, I asked someone who knows, and I got nothin’. It seems like such an obvious play for The 1975 (who have done a club underplay during a festival this year already, played their debut in full, and have just announced its 10th anny reissue) - but I would be kind of surprised if they were locking THAT down so hard. I suppose it could still be, though. Would love to see this end up being RHCP. |

I still have a sneaking suspicion it’s Paramore. Hoping for Fred Again. Would be cool if it was RHCP or Kendrick. The 1975 or Lana would be fine, but wouldn’t be too bummed if I couldn’t get a ticket.

Metro just added to their Lolla aftershows on their site that there will be no camping before 10am day of show for all of their Palooza shows.

I doubt it’ll be dark. Three scenarios, they announce a show at a weird time today like they did at 3pm on a Sunday for Vampire Weekend in 2019. Or they announce something tomorrow morning with in person ticket sales (Chance, The Rapper did this in 2016). I guess they can also do an announcement at 9 or 10 tomorrow and an online sale an hour later?

Will be deeply annoyed if there's an in person on sale the same day as the fest. Chance gets a pass since the expectation is that everything he does will be annoying/corny
