The two lines for band merch were as long as the line for the newjeans spotify bunny land experience thing this morning. I don't care enough about anyone playing to wait that long

We need a live strwam of Billie and NewJeans Stans jockeying for space at the Campout in front of the stage.

I do like how they changed the field across from Perrys to add more food and some shade spots to eat under.
Saw a photo that a HUGE chunk of the area in front of the stage is now blocked off for VIP. Fucking blows.

I’d say this fest would flop itself into cancellation but given that it sold out for the first time since…..I wanna say 2018?…. It’ll probably not do that
Bitter and jealous I am not there this weekend. This weather is perfect

Merch line wasn't any better at 3pm
Edit: at 4:10pm, the band merch line was as far back as the green Hulu house

Charlotte Sands Thursday promotional show at Audacy studio, but no days of lolla itself nanafish + the better half Unlike last year for puerto rican rapper Ian Dior at B96's studios, this year there wasn't any iced coffee nor all you can eat donut holes from dunkin, because this year the sponsor was [apparently cheap shits] xfinity. I had missed Charlotte at last years riot fest, because I saw Bully and then at the insistence of a former work colleague, the NY band Thick (he liked them when he had seen them as an opening act elsewhere). Charlotte was find and did a couple of songs with her guitarist after being introduced by a B96 morning DJ, because the station's former [emcee and afternoon host] now works for Q101.

From the livestream, it seems like there is a sizable camping situation at the T-Mobile stage....either that or this Lovejoy band is bigger than I think they are.
Can someone who is there comment? Sometimes livestream camera angles can be deceiving.

Sometimes livestream camera angles can be deceiving. Camping for newjeans who had the biggest non headlining crowd I've ever seen at lolla

These jaggofs took the boards spot away from what I can tell, only on the T-Mobile stage.

Also remember when they showed the maps with this exact layout when tickets went on sale, and then they took them down? These assholes just did it anyway! Hutson Powell and Live Nation can get struck by Jim DeRo’s golf cart

That is insane. Almost any set I've seen on the south stage I've seen from that area.

Had a blast at the fest today. Big ups to Pony Bradshaw in the Toyota music den, NewJeans at their first US show, Billie Eilish with a tremendous headlining set, and Carly Rae Jepsen the queen of pop.
I think the slightly increased footprint behind Perry’s and to the left of the grove is a big improvement. Also the double sided water dispensers are great, I never had to wait for anything. I wasn’t close enough for anything to notice the VIP bullshit but it doesn’t surprise me that it’s so big this year. Most of the usual choke points are the same, merch lines were shockingly large even considering the artists playing today.
Will probably get in for Sudan Archives tomorrow

I did try to take the sidekick up closer to the stage on that side because Billie was tough to see from far back and you can't get anywhere close. Sucks pretty hard. Couldn't tell how full the area was but hopefully it is fuller for headliner sets.

Also: - Brandon Johnson has a lot of energy.
- Noah Kahan had a huge crowd singing along to all his songs that I had never heard before.
- It did seem noticeably more crowded on the fields but I don't know if that was the increased attendance or the heat causing people to move less.

Only set I really enjoyed tonight was what I saw if the Diplo set surprisingly. I just don't connect with CRJ, that country act before Billie was bland af, and Billie was fine but I left after a half hour or so.
Definitely a small crowd for Karol G. I don't know what The Rose is, but they had tons of girls screaming, so I'm assuming another Kpop thing.
Best new food of the fest is the Chicken & Waffle dog with Mac n cheese at the Doom Street East tent in that new area. Not crowded over there at all since most people probably didn't notice it yet

I wanted to stop by the Lou Malnati’s booth since they were doing their usual cheap pizzas at the end of the night, so I figured I’d check each stage
