I mean it's fine. The guy is clearly an upgrade and I think there's more potential there for him to all of a sudden go off at The RATE - he put up 3 WAR last season, so I'll take him just doing what he did last year.

I wonder if that means they're close on trading someone? Hahn indicated they were pretty much at their ceiling as far as payroll goes. I can't see Reinsdorf finally caring about being called cheap after all these years.

Hendriks is the most rumored trade piece. I think trading him would be a mistake, but it depends on who they're able to get in return I guess.

Cubs get Dansby Swanson for 7 years 177 million. There are still holes in the lineup but it does feel good to exhale that they at least got one of the big shortstops.
