I also like to carry a wallet but I am v particular about the innards (I like a window section that flips out) so I currently have a bit of a Costanza situation.

I used to carry a billfold, but I switched to a card holder like bosma's a few years ago and rotate between some like that and one even slimmer. This is partly because I was almost pickpocketed a couple of times in Europe, which caused me to move my wallet to my front pocket. I'm never going back to a billfold! I love how compact card holders are, and they're practical for me, as well, because I hardly ever carry cash, and even when I do, it's not too much for me to slip in the card holder.

I got a money clip as a gift sometime in college and have only used that since. It would be quite the adjustment to go back to a wallet.

I've had both clips and cardholders, and neither of them ever felt remotely secure enough for me to be comfortable.

I got this one as a gift years ago and couldn't be happier with it. Sort of a money clip/wallet hybrid, with a strap and a single pocket. No bulky folds while still allowing easy access to my go-tos. Etsy is telling me it's only $25 - no idea if they've changed standards since I got it, but the stitching and leather are both fantastic for that price. Has held up great after years and multiple accidental washing machine runs.  |

Moderately concerned about the chain of human suffering I started for this And that wallet is made from Horween Leather in Chicago so it has already made that trip once in the opposite direction. |

We talked about hoodies fairly recently, among them Reigning Champ and American Giant. I've been reading so much about the quality of the American Giants for years now, so as I'm building my wardrobe again, I decided to get one of their sweatshirts. I didn't get a hoodie because I didn't want the hood. Instead I got the Moto Full Zip.  The quality of the sweatshirt is fantastic. It's built like it's indestructible. The cotton fleece is dense and heavy; it will be really warm this fall and winter. I know I'm gonna get a ton of use out of it, and it will last forever. It's at least as good as the Reigning Champ hoodie and Flint and Tinder 10-Year Hoodie. |
