watched a couple minutes of sofi t, and it was good, so I think we'll catch at least some of their set at milw summerfest before finishing the night w/ fitz and the tantrums.
and now the breeders are excellent as usual, although I don't remember this many bandmembers, like the violinist on stage for a couple of songs.

not as high all time as the pixies, or continental drifters or the stones or soul asylum or social d or purple w/ blackmore or king's x or early los lobos, but still pretty far up. saw pixies twice w/ kim deal. saw the breeders twice, once at congress, once at pofo. saw the kelly deal 6000 at lounge ax. went to what was advertised as kim deal solo acoustic at lounge ax, but what turned out to be kim and kelly all electric and up close. cannonball was ferocious. All these years and I didn’t realize you regarded Soul Asylum this highly. RESPECT. |

Breeders did sound great, especially after the first two songs. Sound took a bit to get sorted out.
Switched over to Rosalía, but it hasn’t started yet.

Same here; switched over to SNL (which was typically below average) because the Couchella feed was pixelated to the point where I found it distracting. I thought they sounded very good for the first two songs, though. Agreed with mookie - no way I’m dropping $100+ for their Re:Set date. Hoping they just do a tour in the fall with a stop at Kings or Beacon. |
