Also gonna note here that I'm not gonna include probably my favorite live album of all time: Townes Van Zandt Live at the Old Quarter, just because it feels like cheating. Like, the dude rips through his entire discography. It's almost too perfect.

Remember when we did the best songs of the 00s project and you could downvote/negate somebody’s pick? We should bring that back for live albums.

am not going to go through monastery's list of 204 one by one, but I'd guess more than 65 percent of those acts are trapper kept (although due to more recent shows). maybe 80& of the jazz acts.

There hasn't been a live album as good as Live and Dangerous during the boards lifetime so yes this makes sense although I am going to ignore this rule. Live and Dangerous (and Stand in the Fire) would likely be at the top of my live albums list, so i'm game for a list specific to them. i just don't think live albums in general are comparable to studio albums.

I grew up on At Fillmore East, but in retrospect, I like Eat a Peach better, and, I like Brothers and Sisters as the best of all Allman works. Circling back to let everyone know Nana and I have the same Allman Brothers take, I think

All this over Peter Frampton, who - by the way - sucks. I was going to chastise you for this take on the creator of “Fever Dog”, but apparently Nancy Wilson the goddess has sole songwriting credit for that one.

I'd slot that above Fillmore East, but Eat a Peach is probably a top 5-10 contender for me. Also totally forgot about Jackson Browne on there.
