Just curious as to how you know the dates for next year. I was just guessing based on previous weekends but I suppose I don’t really know I'm not sure why they are waiting but with Osheaga being the same weekend it's almost certainly going to be those dates. |

Metallica is Aug 9/11 at Soldier Field and I feel like Lolla and the City aren't going to want to to be running at the same time.

I know I'm really going out on a limb here, but those dates also contribute to the possibility of a 2-weekend Lolla. blink-182 could play both Sundays. (8-4 and 8-11)

8/11 would have them playing 5 consecutive nights. they don't have more than 2 consecutive nights otherwise. big limb, but we shall see.

but those dates also contribute to the possibility of a 2-weekend Lolla. there are too many too politically powerful and too economically powerful millionaires who live near grant park, and who value their peace and quiet, for lolla to go to 2 weekends with our current mayor, who is relatively new and relatively politically powerless. |

The Offspring would be nice, but I would consider them a better fit for Riot Fest.
Also, it's worth of noting that blink-182 is the top headliner of each fest.
