I could probably piece together a decent day on Saturday or Sunday. I don't know a single act on Thursday until Jungle at 4:45. Fleshwater is a solid, rising shoegaze group. And Tyla is pretty great - South African pop / amapiano star making the festival rounds this summer. Her album should sound really good in July/Aug weather.

Sucks that they have the two good Chicago acts (Friko and Bridgette Calls Me Baby) on at the exact same time.
Killer Mike and Romy on the Bacardi stage doesn't seem like a great idea either Yeah I saw that too, so dumb. I feel like the Killer Mike crowd should be fine, he's right before Future x Metro Boomin and that one will draw a lot of people away. I'm guessing Romy won't have that bad of a crowd either depending on who is scheduled for Perry's at that time.

For whatever (valid) criticisms you have of this fest and how they book it, it is pretty wild they managed to book several acts that have insanely sold out tours with exorbitantly expensive secondary market tickets (Chappell Roan, Hozier, Laufey, Stray Kids) and some others that are really blowing up just in time for fest season. They’re not really acts I’m interested in but I’m gonna say they probably have their finger on the pulse this year more than we’d like to admit

Also, is Tyler really only playing an hour headlining the South stage? Or is the assumption that each act will run 10-15 minutes over curfew? North stage ends at 10 and I think they bleed the south stage to 10:15 officially-unofficially now

Quannic is like 10 years old but they were good at SubT and have a couple songs big on TikTok or something. Also loud shoegaze-y inspired

Also, who among us hasn't dozed off at a show once or twice? I fell asleep very, very briefly during a Ben Gibbard solo show at the Athenaeum, he was playing Grapevine Fires and I'd had a glass of red wine

Also, who among us hasn't dozed off at a show once or twice? The only time I can recall this happened to me was Thom Yorke at Day for Night fest, but I was pretty exhausted and coming down from a lot of free whiskey at that point (and it was a pretty boring set).
