If it actually moves to SeatGeek I wonder if they will offer refunds? I didn't buy in the presale but I'd imagine some people who did would not want to schlep out to Bridgeview for three days.

I find it odd that they don't mention Douglas Park in the email so I believe the venue change rumor.

That is going to suck shit if they move it there. Even though I live in the suburbs, it will still take me longer to drive down there than to Douglass. Plus I'll have to pay $25 or 30 or whatever each day just to park. God this is going to suck I think I paid $40 to park at Sacred Rose.

But I would much rather take the train to and from the fest like always

How easy is it to get to SeatGeek if you like don't have a car and are using either transit or Uber/Lyft from downtown?

If it actually moves (which I'm skeptical since Douglass Park is still listed on the festival website) I would assume Riot Fest would offer shuttle passes from the city like Sacred Rose did a few years ago.

I'm not even joking when I say this- it's really fuckin difficult, and might not be worth going. Definitely wouldn't be worth staying in the city proper- probably best to be over by Midway and lyft, or possibly the southern burbs.

Oof...I really hope that speculation is wrong about the move then. Fingers crossed.

Does that feel like a confirmation, or is that typically a hotel that would be sold out three months in advance for other reasons?

Red Stars are currently slated to host San Diego at Seatgeek Saturday of Riot Fest. So that would have to be figured out.
Edit- away teams usually stay at the Hampton Inn there for these games so that would explain the hotel situation

I could very much see them announcing "this is the last one at Douglass" before the lineup drop.

Another interesting thing is a lot of past Riot Fest emails, including one for the winter presale, has the header with the dates, followed by "Douglass Park - Chicago"...this morning's email has the dates, followed by "Chicago - Illinois". Could mean nothing, but....

Someone on the subreddit made a comment about it moving to Tinley Park Edit: tickets are currently not on sale, but when you try to buy them, they have a link for booking discounted hotels nearby, and that page still says Douglas Park and all the hotels are downtown

That Tinley comment looked like it was someone just bullshitting

where would they do it in tinley? the amp, warped tour style? riot seems too big for that? There was an event before the pandemic at the convention center that was headlined by the Descendents. So they could do an indoor/outdoor thing with the same number of stages? I think it would be stupid if they did it here!
