i don't really have a dog in this fight but didn't a whole crop of you passively enjoy an assrock festival there for several years? i know this isn't ideal but this feels a bit chicken little? Chicago Open Air had 2 stages and maybe 20,000 people. It was ok. The sucky thing here is missing the park, wide open spaces, etc., that can’t be recreated in a 3rd rate stadium and surrounding concrete, even if there is a dome.

Not sure how 3 levels of premium ticketing works here. Assume the Deluxe and + will get the very front of the stage and the sections of seats closest to the stage.

I went for one day to Sacred Rose, had a good time, but it was a pain in the ass to get to, and I don't want to do it again.

I went to Open Air too only because I got free tickets, and just went the one day. I'm wondering how the logistics are going to work, because I assume they are not going to let everyone pass through the tunnels in the stadium, so to go from the inside of the arena to one of the outside stages, you will probably have to climb up all of those steps, and then go down the steps on the outside. This could be pretty ugly.

by announcing there was a Kevin smith land, slot machines and that the whole festival becomes a haunted house they seem to be looking for me specifically not to request a refund

A recent reddit post: "A fun fact is that city documents are public records, including permit applications for festivals through the Chicago Park District. The Douglass Park permit for this year is listed as tentative but “in good standing.” The Park District Board of Commissioners has a meeting scheduled on June 12 which is when they’ll likely approve it (it was approved in June in previous years). The festival isn’t moving, y’all." Can someone tell me if ths matters? Lol someone go make a fool out of this guy so we can maintain our reputation as their nemeses

Who the hell decided to drag this debacle out into three announcements Yeah, I feel like they could have avoided a lot of stress if they had done yesterdays announcement video and the location reveal at the same time.

Also this basically only effects this board, but getting to aftershows from the fest is basically not going to happen you know?

Because I would assume this has to stop at 10 PM still I don't know, I'm not a local. But some dude replied to me suggesting running later on reddit with this "The festivals held at Seat Geek Stadium are able to go until 12am Fri / Sat & 11pm Sunday" no idea if he knows what he's talking about though.

That seems like it would be impossible with the Orange line stopping at 12 (so it probably will be the case)

Feel like an Uber to Midway vs. The city won't even be that big of a difference when you're already going that far fwiw

Riot Mike hinted at Fallout Boy on Q101. That's 0/2 on headliners for me.
