Watching Blur, further cements my opinion that the best band of the Oasis/Blur battle was without question Pulp

Tuesday the 23rd. I’ll buy a ticket tonight for that maybe?
Would pay a dumb amount of money to see Blur play like Chicago theatre tbh

OPNs Big Ears set last year ruled. It’d be great at the Metro.

Sounds like Coachella is a two-off but if not it would be great if Riot grabbed No Doubt again.

Is this really just a two-off like you said? What indicates that?
Really want a ND tour.

thoughts from the couch
young fathers sounded tight and intense. the design of the gobi is killer this year, the red is really striking and i love the chandeliers.
caught the last 20 minutes of the aquabats, a perfect afternoon set for coachella. coachella should book here come the mummies or equivalent every year just to loosen everyone up early in the day. rode the sonora straight into militarie gun who are just okay live but i have a real baja blast listening to their music. live mas.
vampire weekend have suspiciously already almost completely abandoned their new material, performing only two songs from their new album at coachella. troubling? you decide.
i am still not sure whether or not the purple disco machine guy is doing a bit. the late afternoon sublime throwback set sort of reminded me of when violent femmes played coachella 2013 except for that set was really good and fun.
erika de casier was the place to be however - super duper chill tunes and she is an excellent performer. tough environment for her material but i enjoyed what i saw.
bleachers killed it, disagree that they should've been mainstage - those packed tent sets a bit away from the madness rule.
grimes, what the heck?
i thought blur was actually a little bit boring? needed a longer timeslot to round the set out with some more bops i guess, idk. i love blur, it was a good set, i just wanted to have a little more fun.
ice spice's set looked incredible, i only stuck around for 1.5 songs because she's not 100% my thing but big respect to the production she was putting on. cool cool.
jungle are good yeah but they kinda bore me too, i mostly just used them as background music while i got ready for no doubt who were sooooo good. i love olivia rodrigo so much but i thought the bathwater guest spot was slightly forced and unmemorable. gwen needs to get back on the road these songs are great.
i will probably sign off after this unless i remain bored enough to see what geffasstffein is

I've seen the following sets so far Hatsune miku, Justice, honey Dijon x green velvet, l'impératrice, deftones, gessaffelstein, orbital and No Doubt
Did I miss anything important? (other than clown core)

I watched Blur last night. They were pretty good, but Damon trying to get the crowd to do the 'Oh Oh Oh's in 'Boys and Girls' appeared to be a bust. And what was up with that beard trim anecdote he mentioned? 'Death of a Party' and 'Tender' sounded great with the backing group.

Called the Sublime disappointment. Bradley had the juice and you can't replicate the juice. The Marley kids can do a set of Bob Marley songs because they all have individually shown they have the juice before. You might not like it but Rome has his own thing, he's not trying to do a Bradley impression and thats why it works. What if a party rap band was also Sublime.
That and Tyler were the only two full sets I watched super late ln when I couldn't sleep. Thought the Tyler set was pretty next level from a production/performance level. Always gonna be the issue that he cant perform for more than like 7 minutes without taking an asthma break but at least hes mostly honest about it and there aren't a bunch of weird interludes but it would be cool fi he didn't perform all medleys. One day.
Caught a bit of No Doubt who sounded good. They really seems like a lock for Riot Fest this year. Fall Out Boy/Slayer/No Doubt. lineup Announced after weekend 2,
