I'm not sure if that song is a good song or a bad song but I know this is mandatory posting:

I voted “fine”, but have since decided that they’re bad.

aren't there 3 eras of the band -- before Fergie, during Fergie, and after Fergie, and aren't the eras a little bit different from one another? I saw them at Warped Tour in the pre-Fergie era and I think they signed a mini-poster for me at the merch tent

Not the Peas but still worth considering

Hear me out.
The Black Eyed Peas catalogue is very bad.
However, the Fergie catalogue is very very very good.

I don't even like the Fergie-involved singles and had no idea they existed before or after her involvement with the group.

The Black Eyed Peas were in a Sims game and are therefore good

The Sims version has it in all Sims speak except the chorus.

I saw them at Warped Tour in the pre-Fergie era and I think they signed a mini-poster for me at the merch tent Hey, me too. And a second time opening for No Doubt in 2000. I'm not familiar with much of their pre-Fergie music, but going by their radio hits and their thud of a SB Halftime performance that one year, I am voting bad.

"let's get retarted" is a good compromise lyric

Behind the Funk/Bridging the Gap are both fine in a very dated 90s cusp backpack kinda way but I dont think that excuses their later output.

I voted fine, but I suppose that's cuz the height of their popularity coincided with when I was young, frosted, and didn't need three days to recover. I got that boom, boom, oww.

I voted bad. That said, Fergie was probably the best set I saw at Wireless 2016. I also own a Miami Dolphins Fergie shirt.
