Bah. I know you're right.
I just only consider flying when it's the only logistical option. Like, international travel.

Is there a downside to booking a hotel in Kentucky that’s right on the border? Eyeing some cheap options Is there nothing reasonably priced in downtown Cinci?

In his defense, that is a pretty low price for a flight compared to flying to a lot of places. Yeah. Exactly. Plus my car is shit and the added convenience of not driving.

My friend from Cincy actually recommended booking in that city across the river vs. downtown Cincy. The only reasonably priced one downtown, The Millenium, got a major thumbs down from him and others who live there.

I may as well book something just in case.

These are extremely disappointing lineups but if someone is driving down Sunday morning I might join you to see Eighth Blackbird/BPB and the Boxer set as long as we can stop at the cinci zoo to meet Fiona
also, hopefully we get a mouse on mars set somewhere in late April (Smart Bar? Constellation? i dono)

I got a room at the Extended Stay in Covington. It's just over a mile away from the park, so I'll be able to walk it all weekend. There's a few other hotels right there, but it looks like their prices have gone up since I booked

The Dessner brothers are also doing their “counterpoint” performances both days, including Bryce doing “Garcia Counterpoint” from the Grateful Dead tribute album on night one. Gah. I actively hate the National as you all know but I happen to really, really like this piece.

If it is a counterpoint to the Dead that probably means it is good.

Woof, file under bad takes. Counterpoint is a musical device in which two independent melodies combine to form one new composition. When you think of Bach you're probably thinking in counterpoint. Here is the piece, it's really good and probably not what you're thinking of when you think of the Dead. brycedessner.com/garcia-counterpoint/

My soon to be wife just woke up from a migraine recovery nap to tell me I should definitely go to this and she may join as well, so that's exciting.
