The eulogies for the Cubs on Facebook while the game was still in the 4th inning were kind of amusing.

good year. glad we were able to not get swept. dodgers looked crazy good.
hoping the astros can right the ship and make it to the ws.

Ron Gardenhire is back in the AL Central. I don't think he's really a great fit for the Tigers, but who knows.

Gardenhire is just to fill the role as they rebuild. Similar to Renteria was for the Cubs. I'm sure they don't view him as THE guy.

Four consecutive 90 loss seasons when the Twins were initially in the midst of their rebuild, so again, not a good fit. Even if he's a placeholder (for who?)

So, where do y'all think Dave Martinez will end up?

Would have to think he would start in a smaller market like Philadelphia. May be a fit for Washington? Would love to see him remain with Cubs even though it seems doubtful.

Didn't realize Phillies market was as big as it is... guess just due to their relevance lately. Whoops

Alex Cora is the new manager of the Red Sox.

Alright, final predictions?
I'm going Astros in 7, but that's just because I want all WS to go to game seven.

Dodgers in 6. I'd love the Astros to win, but not having home field advantage will hurt.

Dodgers in 6 although I want the Astros to win. I think they split the first two in LA, Dodgers take 2 out of 3 in Houston, and win game 6 at home.

it seems like the dodgers have better pitching overall but the astros top two starters are so good for clutch games. if it can get to game 6/7 i think the astros could bring it home.
the dodgers seem like they have been overperforming on offense, curious how that will go. have they said if seager is able to play in the series yet?

Yeah, my bet is that home team wins the first five.

okc was the aaa team to houston until 2014, and since then it's been the dodgers.
5 of houston's players have been in okc, and 14 of the dodgers have been here, so that's pretty cool.

Yeah there's a bunch of ways of looking at the home field and starting pitching breakdown. But I tend to agree with the people who think the Astros having their best pitchers pitch to LA to steal a game or two while the bats usually are hot in Houston bodes well.
I really want the Astros to bring it home but my gut says Dodgers, probably in 7.

I figured advancing to the ALCS would keep him around.
