Terrible.
They had a couple of games they showed on TV this summer of him pitching in exhibition games in 2017. He was nowhere in mlb pitching shape but he was still giving it 100% like he was in game 7 of the WS.

I've been trying to think of a better pitcher than him in the last ~15 years. Can't think of anyone really. This really sucks

Awful news. Say what you will about the Jays organization and its fanbase, I remember deliberately picking Halladay games to attend since he always gave it his all even on a struggling team.

I want to work my way through some movies this offseason, and any help building a list would be appreciated. Moneyball is the only one I've seen, to my recollection. Field of Dreams, A League of Their Own, The Natural, and Bull Durham are what one friend has given me so far.
Edit: Duh, and Ken Burns.

"When it was a Game" - HBO documentary that uses color home movies from the 20s-50s.

I can't believe he's leaving that much money on the table by coming over now. Hopefully he gets a huge endorsement deal or something.

Carlos Beltran is retiring. Hell of a career, should be a lock for the HOF.

Unbelievable that Votto didn't win the MVP in the NL.
Also the ChiSox are stockpiling guys who can throw over 100mph. Really solid pickup in their deal with the Mariners this afternoon.

I am staggered at how unbalanced the AL MVP voting was.

Cool design, but I very much dislike that it is a rubber patch instead of sewn on.

Ohtani has gotta sign with an NL team right? It doesn't make any sense not to with his skillset

Ohtani has gotta sign with an NL team right? It doesn't make any sense not to with his skillset i think the idea is he's got a draw to sign to an AL team so he can pitch AND dh, thus playing more than just hitting when he pitches in the NL and pinch hitting.

Huh never even thought of that. Guess that means the Bankees are getting him
