Yes, without fail. I think etymotics make shows sound better anyway.

Unless it's super acoustic I do.

I do now when I go to metal shows in small venues... wish I had done it earlier though... before losing some of my hearing, that is

Yes, without fail. I think etymotics make shows sound better anyway. This is true. I remember the first time I wore them to a festival set and was like "Holy shit, I can actually understand the lyrics!"

Always do. I tpld the story several times that my hearing was damaged at a show at the Aragon over 20 years ago. Always do ever since.

Not as often as I should but I do occasionally. I don’t worry about it for outdoor shows but I should probably start

Also, if you actually believe you have no hearing damage from the shows we go to, I highly recommend going in a soundproof room if you ever get a chance. I knew I had tinitus, but I had no idea how bad it was until I went in one of those.

i saw friends forever in 2003 and it was actually painful on my ears. ever since, i always carry a pair of er20s. for an acoustic show, i might take them out for a few songs. but for other shows, they're always in there.

Just started yesterday st Coachella and can't see myself going back.
Still taking them out every set just to see the difference and every time I'm surprised how god damn loud it is.

I go back and forth. Most outdoor shows I don’t with a few exceptions. Most small venue shows (schubas, bottle, etc.) I do. Mid-sized venues depend on the band. I have a pair of earplugs on my key ring so I don’t really have an excuse not to use them anymore

95% of the time I do, unless it's something like Julien Baker where you don't need 'em.

Almost always for indoor shows, rarely for outdoor shows.
But within the last 5 years the loudest show I was at was ACDC at Wrigley

Only times I don’t wear them are for acoustic shows.

I even wear them for some acoustic shows/tunes. Bright guitar strings can sometimes feel painful. I’ve been a believer in Etymotics for quite some time and since switching to the new smaller size a few years ago, they are much more comfortable than they used to be.

Personally I find the bass the ultimate worst in terms of ear pain

I carry earplugs in my tiny watch pocket literally 24/7, and I'll use them for anything louder than a solo acoustic guitar. There have been movies I've ended up needing them at.
