Does anyone have interest in bringing this back? I was thinking about it the other day and maybe we could just make the thing WAY more simple. Basically, just put a damn lineup together that you feel could be possible (and in your opinion, good) in present time. Oh, and maybe pick a location that isn't overly saturated already, if possible.
We can then just vote on:
A) if you'd attend
but also an equal vote percentage to:
B) is this thing actually possible in 2018.
That way we aren't worrying about "festival exclusive", budgets, etc.
Thoughts?

If people are willing to put in a little extra time I do think presenting schedules was an important part of the game. It would obviously be extra pointless work but I found it interesting.

We can absolutely do schedules. I was thinking vote #1 would be for likelihood of said festival happening (location + lineup probability) as well as quality of lineup (would you attend?).
Then we'll do the next head to heads based on schedule.

What's our definition of "realistic" here. 2018 realistic or Glastonbury realistic im assuming AB will have a followup thread with the rules but traditionally all competitors use the same budget and guidelines for bookings (#1 pop acts being $5 million or something, reunions being expensive, blah blah) |

So, if you pick Chicago to do a indie rock fest, that may not do so well with the volume of fests already in the area. Exclusivity is nill. If you pick headliners that everyone else has, then you likely won't win. With that, better to not pick MBV  |

Scott from Local H played bass, not sure what happened to Mike. They still fucking rock. |

Scott was not present. However, his future drummer was.
Edit: fun fact, the drummer was pretty much straight edge if I remember correctly. That or he didn't like the idea of being the FIFTH dude to squish into my back seat.
