Agreed on Downwell. I usually don't like that kind of game, but it's got me hooked.

I didn't bother with Downwell for very long, but had limited time. Will give it another go.

Finally hooked up my Switch over the weekend. Loved playing Mario Kart and SnipperClips with friends and World of Goo on my own. Zelda on the way.

I've been on Amazon so many times when they get them in stock but it's always so sudden and I can never bite on making that impulse buy. I haven't played any video games in ages other than like an hour here or there, and haven't paid for one in probably a year... I feel like I would get really in to Zelda though and the whole purchase would be worth it just for that.

I think they typically re-up the stock around the launch of games, but I have no idea when the next major game is supposed to be released. I played the new Zelda for about an hour at my friend's place last month and it was amazing.

I haven't got a ton of mileage out of my Switch yet. Mario Kart has been fun for having friends over but in general I haven't really been playing games at all (besides Hearthstone which is an addiction at this point). I haven't really been feeling Splatoon 2 despite buying it.
the thing is really nice on plane rides though

Mario + Rabbids is in two weeks, I'd say that's a big one. Then Mario itself in October. That's probably when I'll bite, once Mario is out and it's getting colder and I don't want to spend as much time outdoors.

I got lucky and snagged one via Amazon Prime Now during the initial release, but didn't have a good opportunity to play at first. Also toyed with the idea of selling it, but this past weekend presented a good chance to spend some time with it. Fun stuff. I think if you call your local GameStop locations, they will add you to a call list and give you a ring when units come in. (Presumably it's then a mad dash to see who can get to the store before they sell out).

Best thing I ever did was getting the Switch at the initial release. The amount of hours I have spent on Zelda alone have paid for it.

I grabbed one using this site last month. www.istocknow.com/product/switchSays where in your area a switch is in stock. Super accurate too.

Mario + Rabbids is in two weeks ... Yeah, this is the next big game for me, although I'm still only biting if the reviews are good.

Honestly though, I foresee it being easier to nab a Switch as the holidays approach.

Still only have Zelda for my Switch but that alone has been enough. Oddesy is the main reason I bought one for though so I'm super excited for October. PS4 has done nothing for me much recently besides the new Overwatch event

PS4, outside of video streaming, is my Overwatch box... and I play a ton of Overwatch, so that's all it needs to be. Also need to get back to Persona 5.
As for Switch games I'm excited for this year (in release order): Mario + Rabbids, Fire Emblem Warriors, Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
