I just can't handle the movement on the motion controls, I don't like the leaning the controllers to move thing.
I just noticed Gamestop has a buy 2 get 1 free sale on classic games. Some of the stuff is overpriced but there's some decent priced stuff. I'm looking at getting some N64 and Gamecube games. Preferably party games. Some stuff I was thinking, I dunno what I wanna go with
Mario Party Game- I really don't know which one, I don't remember what was the best. But one of these seems like it'd be a lot of fun as a drinking game. I want to lean the N64 ones because I played those more back in the day Kirby Air Ride- I used to love this game so much and it'd also be a fun party game Mega Man X Collection- I kind of really really want to replay these. I'm really mixed though because it's really expensive on the Gamecube (not just Gamestop but everywhere) and I'm not even sure a gamecube controller would be good for these. WarioWare (gamecube one)- Another stupid fun party game that I used to really love Eternal Darkness- I've always been interested in playing this game, I have no clue how it holds up though Sonic Adventure 2 Battle- This is another game that would be a nostalgia thing for me and I remember having fun with it but also it probably holds up terribly Super Mario Sunshine- I've wanted to replay this game for a long time but it's also a bit more expensive at $30 Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes- I've never played this one and always wanted to, and it'll help complete my Metal Gear collection
also would love any other suggestions for fun party sort of games that'd be fun to play with friends while drinking

I can't imagine Eternal Darkness has aged well at all. Shit was clunky a year after release - fun, but clunky. Also everything else that studio released was bad garbage. I feel like Eternal Darkness was completely acciental.
Twin Snakes is great. Get that one.

I've read a lot about Eternal Darkness and there was a lot of cool ideas that I wish some new games would take some influence from. The fourth wall breaking stuff is really cool

Kirby's Air Ride is definitely the gem of that list.

Kirby's Air Ride is definitely the gem of that list. Yeah I was pretty settled on for sure getting that one to be honest. I love that game dearly
That'd be a great game for a Switch revival. Online play would be a lot of fun

I replayed Eternal Darkness a couple years ago and it held up pretty well for a Gamecube game.

Eternal Darkness does not hold up at all. Really a shame because it was a 10/10 at the time/at the age I was when it came out.

Kirby's Air Ride is definitely the gem of that list. My friends and I played the fuck out of this game and I'd forgotten all about it... I do remember it getting critically lambasted though, right?

I don't think cpf and I ever agree on anything, so at least this is consistent.

Oh man. Mario Party as a drinking game was the only way we ever played. We had a ton of ridiculous rules that evolved with each version. It's been so long, I'm having trouble remembering them though

Mario Party and Donkey Konga were super fun drinking games.

My friends and I would 'play' Mario Party by setting all players to the lowest difficulty of comps and placing bets on who would win.

How the hell is this the first Zelda game you've ever played. The only other Nintendo console I've owned besides an NES was the Wii and I mostly just used that for Mario/Smash Bros

Smash bros should get partial credit as a Zelda game because Link was the best character.

Both Zelda games for the Wii are A+. Oh man those are by far amongst my least favorite. Twilight Princess was incredibly dull to me and Skyward Sword was pretty but man could I just not get behind the controls, although unlike some I don't hate that they tried it. Just not for me. RR, go play an older 3D Zelda and an older 2D Zelda after you're done with BotW. BotW is a fantastic game but very different from traditional Zelda in nearly every way.

It took a long time for me to come around on Twilight Princess, but I ended up really loving it. I wouldn't say they're near the top of the Zelda catalog, but for me they're still super enjoyable and engrossing.

TP was serviceable for me, the first one that wasn't a classic, but not awful. We've talked about it enough times that it's basically a Radiohead album, so I won't write too much.
Skyward Sword, however... I won't get tired of shitting on that one. The lore introduced was so weak, and the story itself was a very bad variant on generic shonen tropes... I was actually fine with the controls, but the world and environments were so disappointing. Everything was so compartmentalized, despite them really trying to introduce that bird mount... What was the point of flying that thing? You could deliver soup and fight one boss on it...
