Guess I need to listen to that. Very into that new Elder album. That first track was awesome.

I will also vouch for that Ulrika album, it's wonderful. Most into shoegaze I've been in a while.

I enjoyed their album from last year but wouldn't have known about this if you hadn't posted about it, so thanks! AOTW: Ulrika Spacek - Modern English Decoration After giving the stream a good healthy 5 listens this week, I gotta say this is better than their debut from last year, The Album Paranoia. Taking a lot of influence from 60s psych rock, much like Deerhunter, they've crafted another solid entry into 21st century shoegaze. If you were potentially turned off by the last album b/c of the muddled production, give this a shot, as its much crisper and cleaner, while still maintaining the ethos of the first album.

If you're in the mood for more ambient/instrumental stuff, this is wonderful.

The Amber Coffman album is a weird listen after spending so much time with Dave's. I enjoyed most of it, but hearing the same organ line on the closing track's for each was incredibly unnerving.

While a solid effort, this is not as good as Vol. 1. It would have worked much better if it had just been included with the first one.

Yeah. I see why they split them up, they're pretty different thematically, but this comes off as such a letdown in comparison.

Also a big fan of the Hoops record. I'm really enjoying Big Thief right now. Very happy they came back with a strong second album.

Haven't listened to the Hoops record yet, but I've really loved their live show twice.

Agreed. Also the distorted vocals from Dave on this album too. So weird. I know Dave had a hand in producing the album. I read an article that said her album has been finished for over a year or something like that. So my guess is they did Amber's song first, then he used the same music for "I See You"

Just starting this. Very Mazzy Star-like dream pop. Digging it so far. I think avb saw them last week at his festival.
