As a reminder my fest is in Iceland here i just decided by googling iceland volcano  and it's during 4th of july so you don't have to take as many days off of work as usual and flying to iceland is super cheap |

Again, following the rules of previous Lollaboards:
1) How realistic is this lineup (not just lineup but cost, location, etc)? If a fest has Radiohead billed 10th, probably not very realistic.
2) Does the lineup cater to the desired demo/genre? Or, does this takeover do the current festival proud?
3) Does said lineup get you to the festival?
4) How's the schedule? Is it a conflict nightmare or does it cater to various sounds in an ideal way?

Grand Opening. The FNF lineup doesn't do a ton for me while Grand Opening has BbyMutha and Dolly Parton.

In theory I wish both fests were a little bigger, (basically) two stage festivals seem pretty uninspired IMO.
THAT BEING SAID, Neader fest is a v good, but very generic, festival lineup. Seems pretty realistic, minus the whole Iceland Volcano thing. (also some of the DJs popularity in their respective slots feels real inconsistent)
but Opening is the shit. Cupcakke -> Philip Glass -> Missy Elliott -> JPEGMAFIA? That's a fucking good and weird day. And then Dolly Parton and SADE!? yes please. Kind of proves me wrong re: the not many stages thing when the lineup is packed and scheduled decently. Gets my vote here.
Rude that it's same weekend as Afropunk in ATL though.

My guess is your fest has a broader appeal which would help in the Y / N portion, but Opening is more unique which probably helps in the head to head portion.

Went with Grand Opening for its uniqueness and for Dolly.
FNF's Sunday is really good, but Monday has only 3 acts I am interested in and I would feel icky if I went to see one of them. On Tuesday, I would only be interested in going from 5 until 7:45. And, my 2 favorite acts overlap. :/
