I've never seen Peter Gabriel and I hear his shows are great. If he comes to my area, I may just have to pony up the $100+ for a ticket.

He was pretty high on my never seen list too. The show was fine, I wasn't blown away or anything, but I understand this is probably our last chance to see him again.

I used to like Peter Gabriel quite a bit. Not a huge fan, but I had most of his CDs and would listen to them fairly often. (Fun fact - I also reviewed his soundtrack/score work for The Last Temptation of Christ for the Daily Illini.)
But, for me, his music didn't age well and now I don't really like him. I think the outsized popularity of So has something to do with it. Now, I only find a few of his singles palatable. *shrug*

Now, I only find a few of his singles palatable. *shrug* I still really enjoy some of his music pre and post So, and always respected him for having a unique live concept which was huge to me as I was formulating my taste around my love for live music. But when he toured So again back in...say maybe 2012? I distinctly remember thinking it was the most boring concert I'd ever seen. He seemed void of any performative inclination as opposed to just walking around singing, and the crowd literally seemed like it was roll call at the morgue. I remember writing a review of the show on the old board and someone being like, "what did you expect, people to be moshing at a peter gabriel show?" but I also remember mookie being at that same show and agreeing; it was like the air had been sucked out of the room. The songs sounded alright but it was one of the least-enjoyable / biggest letdowns of a live show I'd ever seen.

I was being generous earlier. I think I remember more about where I was sitting in the UC than any particular moment in the show. I think that also may have been the show where I heard an old guy behind me say “I love Rage Against the Machine, but I hate their politics”

I scored fourth row tickets camping out at Carson Pirie Scott for the original So tour in 1987 when Peter Gabriel played Poplar Creek. For a long time it was my favorite concert ever; I remember it being a very theatrical, energetic performance. Much like ten15 , my interest in Peter Gabriel has waned considerably since.

The Call opened that show (unless I have my years wrong). One of the greatest shows of my youth.

I saw The Call open for the Psychedelic Furs a long time ago. Yes, they were pretty good. oh man the call were so good. the singer, michael been, was from okc. i saw them in mid-80s and also saw michael been with harry dean stanton the next year (most of the call were the backing band). been's son is in black rebel motorcycle club and he would tour with them as their sound guy and get up and play piano on a few songs during the brmc set.
