My most optimistic take on this is that, given the recent widespread backlash against dynamic pricing, Metallica wanted to get in on the grift while the grifting was still good and before the practice is outlawed.
But we'll probably be trapped in this hell forever instead.

Really nice of them to announce a 2024 tour and still not include Denver.

At this point I'm fully at peace with never seeing Metallica again, I think. I don't think there's anything else I can get from their live experience that I haven't already, especially when things are like this.

With the dates that far out there’s no way it could mean anything else

My two cents: dynamic pricing is not going away basically until ticketbastard goes away. We're stuck with it until everyone stops buying tickets to these huge shows, so that is never going to happen.

Maybe they can squeeze in a Prima headlining spot and I won’t have to consider buying overpriced nosebleeds 20 months in advance

I know I'm late to the game but I'd also like to make fun of Metallica for announcing shows 2 years in advance.

I’m probably on the hook to take Mrs. Doso to see Metallica at MetLife Stadium in August 2023. Can any Metallica experts confirm or deny if it’s possible to buy tickets for just one of the shows? It looks like TM is organized to only sell tickets for pairs of shows. Which is a crafty new way to overcharge your fans, if true.

Just got an e-mail from Ticketmaster about the Metallica onsales and they're now selling Snake Pit tickets, which is another strike against them IMO.

I thought those were randomly selected fans, or lottery winners a la U2's stage setup years ago. They're doing both. And if you think that the snake pit wasn't already filled with people buying their way in I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Calling the Stanley Hotel as a "Denver" show is something but that would be super cool place to see that

I've only been to Empty Bottle once and it was before the pandemic. If doors open at 7:30 and it says show starts at 8:30, what time should I expect Special Interest to come on tonight if there are two openers (Club Music and CB Radio Gorgeous)?
Also, I won tickets and my extra is available if anyone wants it.

So 9:45 or 10 or so for Special Interest

I was able to get an incredible seat with very little effort thanks to being part of the first presale. The fees were outrageous though.

Frankly I'm sure if we looked at the record I've never been wrong or premature about anything ever in my life If we further looked at the record it wouldn't have been outta left field for Metallica to get in on the grift If someone threw me a $50 ticket I would go see Metallica wherever at solider field. Those dates are in August 2024 for shits sake who knows
