If doors open at 7:30 and it says show starts at 8:30, what time should I expect Special Interest to come on tonight if there are two openers (Club Music and CB Radio Gorgeous)? The answer was 10:45 😑 Great fucking show though lol, would see again at an earlier time.

Morgan Wallen @ wrigley field 6/23. So much for the cancelling Those who were/are offended aren't generally his fanbase. You can't cancel what was never yours to begin with.

This is like the eighth most embarrassing reason to be a Cubs fan so it's whatever but I wish they'd be be like "nah, go somewhere else". I know they won't!

When I worked at the bank someone called and was trying to get a refund for some festival date he bailed on because the “organizers lied about their conservative values”. It rocked.

I know you're still just being rhetorical and I promise you I'm not trying to egg you on, but you can at least take some comfort in knowing the Cubs have absolutely nothing to do with this.

What it really boils down to is given the moment country is having, and all the new, exciting talent out there actually, ya know, making music, we have to bring this guy back?
We couldn't just send him and his Voice-ass watching fanbase to Tinley Park at the very least?
Fuck this fuckin asshole, is the point I'm making.

Do the Cubs have control over who plays Wrigley? In Houston the city gets power to book stuff at Minute Maid Park and team doesn't really have a say. There was a whole controversy about booking in-season concerts and screwing up the grass last season

He is a popular guy who will sell a lot of tickets, which is why they booked him. If the cubs had a say in it they would probably have made the same decision because they like money, and he’s gonna make a bunch of it playing a big venue. I frequently hope the Bulls win for being kind enough to book those Radiohead shows in 2018

do you think they used to ask jerry krause if he was cool with neil diamond doing a show at united center?
sorry but no, they do not have a say

the cubs also take care of season ticketholders (or at least used to, its been awhile since i was involved with it) by guaranteeing them a presale - not necessarily to their seats, but just a general code to a certain allotment of tickets. it would make sense for the cubs to promote the shows because it promotes the incentives of being a season ticket holder. that's about the extent of their involvement, off the top of my head.

Alt-J is doing a few An Awesome Wave 10-year anniversary shows. Funny to see the 2010s crop of middling indie groups start their round of the Anniversary Tour game (see also: Wild Nothing, Wavves).
March 13 – Brooklyn, NY – Kings Theatre March 20 – Los Angeles, CA – The Wiltern March 21 – Los Angeles, CA – The Wiltern March 23 – Oakland, CA – Fox Theater
