Also sounds like we're going to Seattle for Postal Service/Death Cab tour but K's in charge of that one I'm still gambling that Riot Fest has them. Thought about Denver for a second, if that was at Red Rocks, I would do it.

Death Cab's her favorite band and she never saw Postal Service and doesn't wanna stand in an industrial field for either of these sets and who can blame her. Plus I've never been to Seattle and she's got family in Portland so it'll be a big thing

I will say Climate Pledge Arena is a terrible venue so maybe the field is a better choice.

Death Cab's her favorite band if she doesn't have a copy of it already, have her make me an offer (and it can be a cheap offer) for my pristine DCFC empty bottle wxrt show poster.

But if you DO end up in Seattle we can eat a bunch of expensive food and get drunk off twelve different kinds of fernet. I just wouldn’t recommend coming solely to see the Amazon hockey arena where beers are like $12

Completely forgot the Lingua Ignota tickets went on sale at 10... Weekend passes were already sold out. I got Friday and Sunday, since I saw her do the Saturday show earlier this year, and that's my birthday. Guess I should hang with my family at some point that weekend. More of these went on sale at noon.

Almost forgot about the Death Grips presale, got in five minutes late and everything was gone. They bumped this up to the Mission (4K capacity). Got on five minutes late for the general sale and took a while to cart and purchase. It sold out in less than half an hour. Had no idea there was a pent up demand for these guys.

I will say Climate Pledge Arena is a terrible venue so maybe the field is a better choice. We saw the Kraken there in October and it was Very Fun. I didn’t think the beer prices were out of whack compared to other large venues.

Styx and Larry the Cable Guy in Champaign March 30 Last night, I'm looking thru the trapper keeper to find when I saw (still alive) country bluesman James Talley in concert. Couldn't find it, and then I realized I confused Talley with the now late similarly sounding country bluesman Howard Tate, who played at a city of Chicago winter festival at the then Bismarck Theatre. Followed that up by looking up a couple of names in the tk to find out "where are they now?" The biggest where are they now was that there was a comedy show (zanies, or the comedy club on grand and franklin, or maybe somewhere else) in spring 1992 where Fred Klett was the headliner, and former local sports DJ Harry Teinowitz (who I met when we were both growing up in the suburbs) was the emcee and first of two openers. Klett hasn't really made it into the major leagues of comedy today, but the second opener, Dan Whitney's name did not even ring a bell. Looking it up, found that he is now known as Larry the Cable Guy. Checking some youtube stuff, I remembered Whitney's mullet, and it seems that he didn't develop the Larry character until a year later.

I heard from somebody who might know stuff that Salt Shed tried to book an LCD residency this spring. No idea if it's still going to happen at a later date/different venue.

Y’all should check your emails as Taylor swift and Ticketmaster are giving you more opportunities to buy tickets for her tour and possibly spend your childrens college funds to do so

Agree that the festival headlined by fleet foxes and the national should have made the easy layup of booking one of the most successful and iconic recording artists of all time.

Last fest I can remember booking Janet was FYF in 2018. The xx and My Bloody Valentine also played on her day, which is wild. Judging by the size of that fest, I'd say - yeah - she's a bit out of P4k's price range.
