Seeing Billy in Huntsville and Portland ME. Very excite! Brings me up to eight shows this year so far. That Huntsville venue looks super neat and getting up there wouldn't be too hard for me so I definitely had a thought about that, but that was the rumored MMJ Red Rocks weekend and I think I've picked that as my yearly Denver/Red Rocks trip assuming it happens, so waiting on that My Billy shows this year may end up just the two Austin shows and the Halloween run

If it's RR that clashes over that weekend I'd be fine skipping that. Was considering the Boston shows (didn't realize Boston and Portland are so close!) but the venue doesn't look great. The Portland one looks dope, right on the water:

K was trying to get tix for her mom and also couldn't justify pulling the trigger. Again, the solution was to see everyone a decade ago. Patiently awaiting the list of comedians nana has seen comedians nana has NOT seen: louis c.k. aziz ansari dave chappelle

I think I have to chalk it up to it being an outdoor/summer venue and I wasn't really around in the summers, but still. Pretty big venue to just completely gloss over.

Yeah and I've heard really good things about this venue too. I almost tried to find my way there to see MMJ last year but didn't work out. Though IRT to goodson's reply, I'm not sure its as good a venue as the United Center because you can't stand anywhere that Michael Jordan stood while watching a band

There’s only one problem: The concert promoters skipped the step where they have to obtain approval from the Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners.

i'm still confused as to exactly what steps the organizers did do. i know specific permits don't get handed over until sometimes weeks before these fests, but it seems approval in advance of announcement is kind of key.

I read somewhere that they aren't expecting 10,000 people, so they didn't think they needed approval.

Jason Mraz's new song might be the worst thing I've ever heard. Like all the worst parts of Justin Timberlake with none of the charisma (or racism tbf)
