Who is opening these shows? I’m guessing somebody not terribly exciting or they’d be advertising it considering I can get tickets for 8 bucks.

Yea I may end up at one of these. The problem is the night that works best for me is Friday and 3 is my least favorite album.

that sounds fun but i think same day as mandy indiana? I think it might be. So many acts seem to be on tour in December this year and I feel like that's usually a pretty quiet month. I'm looking at Romy, Sky and Confidence Man on consecutive nights. |

Not thrilled at how much I just spent for not-great seats for Burna Boy but I did it anyway so I guess that's that.

Yeah Burna prices are idiotic but there aren't that many people I really like who I have not seen yet and he is one of them. Fwiw my experience at the GOOD Music showcase a few years back was that every seat is "fine" so I also opted to buy not great seats. I love his music but whether he'll fill that room at $150 per is a blind spot for me. He's clearly a stadium act internationally and he sold out Citi Field I think but probably a larger diaspora population in NYC than in Chicago.

I heard from somebody who might know stuff that Salt Shed tried to book an LCD residency this spring. No idea if it's still going to happen at a later date/different venue. Hell yeah my scoop from December was right. |

Dudes from Matchbox 20 and Goo Goo Dolls are doing some acoustic sets in December. No idea if it's a full tour, but it looks at least like it'll be a handful of cities.
Base tickets are north of $80 so that's a big ol' NOPE
