NYC Boarders: Currently scouting tickets for tonight's Walkmen show at King's Theater. They're going for like $20 on Stubhub rn. I'm gonna be there for sure, but gonna wait a lil bit and see how far they drop.

I met a very drunk man in a bar in Osaka earlier this year and he asked me about music. I told him I mostly listened to punk and he lit up, asked me if I knew Otoboke Beaver and told me he knew them and wanted to take me to their practice space right then and there.
I turned him down and it was the most sad I saw anyone on that trip, I often wonder what would have actually happened if I said yes.

Mostly because of how drunk he was, I wasn't sure I believed him. If he WAS telling the truth, I think the other reason was the band being like why did this drunk man bring this random American who doesn't speak a word of Japanese here?

Grabbed tickets for this show next weekend that just got announced at a record store near me here. I was excited for a Twitching Tongues Misfits cover set but it was also pointed out to me that the D in "Secret Headliner" is the Drain logo, so.  |
