TIL Wrigley neighbors get a pretty substantial discount. Apparently my zip code 60657 qualifies for neighborhood presales so I need to sign up in the future. Can you only do that during the baseball season? You can go wherever their offices are open, it's very easy. You just go to the offices off of Waveland and show them your ID and ask to sign up. I've procrastinated signing up for years and finally got around to it in the spring. In addition to the concert pre-sales, they also have all sorts of neighbor nights at the park. I highly recommend anyone who is eligible to take the time to sign up. |

I also bought tickets to Green Day/Pumpkins, through the Wrigley neighbor presale. Curious to see prices for the general public because I paid less to be on the field for this tour than I did for Hella Mega. I figured this one would be more expensive, just because everything is more expensive in 2023. How much? I bought 300-level ADA tickets through the STH presale yesterday for a friend and they were $130 each before fees My field tickets were $159 before fees ($192 all in). That was $86 cheaper than what I saw advertised for the same section today during the regular presale. |

finally, it is possible for bands to play albums live but not in the same sequence. Bloc Party did Silent Alarm back to front at Riot Fest a few years ago. Alanis did Jagged Little Pill completely re-ordered on that tour. It happens although not nearly as often as it should. |

Weezer did Blue Album from back to front at Riot Fest in Denver. I also recall TMBG playing Flood front to back as well.
On a related note, I saw Peter Hook playing Unknown Pleasures and Closer in "regular" order last year and walked away thinking it would have been much better if he had completely reversed that setlist.

Volunteering at the Brooklyn Folk Fest this weekend. Today at the afternoon session I’m gonna see David Johansen (of the New York Dolls) do folk songs from the Harry Smith anthology (!)
Tomorrow is lit - gonna see Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Alynna Segarra (of Hurray for the Riff Raff), and Jake Xerxes Fussell. Plus a ton of other assorted stuff. I think bluegrass vocal vet Alice Gerard is here tonight, but I may not be able see her.

Anyone here going to The Armed/Model Actriz @ metro in a few weeks? They added Kipp Stone to the bill who put out a solid album and trying to figure out if I should get a ticket when I get paid this week. I still haven't seen Model/Actriz and that'd be the main reason I'm going fwiw
