marked men at empty bottle on april 5. despite them being an underwhelming live act, i love their records so much i will definitely be at this. I’ve enjoyed the couple of live shows I’ve seen from them. Only quibble is that they could play for longer. I’ll probably be there. |

elvis played the chicago theatre on that Imperial Bedroom tour and i had tickets to take my dad, we were both super excited, and then it landed on the night of a cubs world series game at wrigley (game 4). we decided to sell the tickets and go watch the game, but i couldn't even give them away. we ended up going to game 5, and then to cleveland for both 6 and 7.
so yeah i still gotta see elvis costello!

anyone seen elvis costello in the past year or so? probably gonna go tomorrow night. yes, saw him last summer. pretty good - his voice is still holding up fairly well. he changes a few of his songs around by playing them a little differently (but not to dylan-level), and he plays a little bit of everything from his career. his band is good, but i think charlie sexton is under-utilized in his "special guest" guitar role. he'll tell a few stories here and there too, and that's entertaining. |

This post is from 3 hours ago and B. I am not a verified fan of Olivia Rodrigo so it wouldn't even let me look at the seating chart 3 hours later. looks like robert plant / alison krauss are touring this summer. cain's ballroom in tulsa turns 100 this year and at the news conference they said plant & krauss will kick off their tour there june 2.
