I mean they played the Allstate Arena on one of their last dates prior to the break up, so I am really not shocked by their jump. Plus they have picked up a ton of fans in the younger generation since then, that was pretty clear at the Riot Fest set.
And let's just accept the face that the Black Parade was one of the best albums of the last 20 years too
Edit: now I'm remembering the Rosemont show was opening for Green Day or something I think. Oh well, ret of the point stands

They must have picked up a ton of fans during their "break up" because they were never close to being this popular before. I consider myself a fan and saw them during the aughts but I'm not willing to pay what they're charging for this tour. It seems like the secondary market is already flooded with tickets so we'll see how that plays out I guess. I have two separate friends who were grade school teachers who said they were extremely popular among the kids. I dunno what propelled that but they collected a lot of new fans while broken up for sure

I don't have my ticket stub for Oasis at the Chicago Theater in April 2000, nor can I find what the price was online, but the face value for the Los Angeles show a few days before was $25 with a surcharge of $5.25. I assume that the Chicago price was similar.

Got one for the Apr 10 Jack White show. Ticketbastard was freaking out on my phone for a bit there and wouldn't let me enter the password. Was $107 with the fees for the floor

MCR is such a wild blind spot for me. No idea how anyone cares about that band. That said, it was an insane middle ground between me being intensely into Limp and Korn in high school, then going to college in ‘04 and thinking that cool people only listened to Fiona Apple, then back into post college when I could accept that nu metal and emo were ok again. Just completely missed their hype. Good for everyone who feels ok spending so much money on that band though. also a blind spot for me too. i lumped them in with bands like all-american rejects and the academy is, both whom i disliked. i didn't even give MCR a real shot until the reunion prior to riot fest. but then i really enjoyed the riot fest set and wished i'd been into them years ago. no way i am spending face value for that soldier field show, though.

Grabbed two Jack White tickets for the first Denver show. Tried pulling tickets for the Friday show initially but the pricing and quantity wasn't populating - not sure what the hell was going on with AXS, but that was a first time issue I've seen pop up.

that's reckless on Milwaukee Avenue for Kim Deal. if she was at the downtown reckless, I could actually make it, because court is around the corner until around 3:30.
oh well, I've seen her w/ the pixies, the breeders, and her sis enough times, so I can miss this, regretfully.

Did anyone grab tickets for TTC? I grabbed a pit for Sunday, debated on Saturday too but can't imagine the setlist will make it worth doubling up.

I don’t know if it’s a tour but Mekons announced a date at Bowery Ballroom in July.
Also dropped a fuckton of funds this morning to see Tyler Childers at Forest Hills in September.
