Yeah it's Gatekeeper. Listened to them yesterday, and I'll be inside for them for sure. Not so hot on what heard from Dreadnought though.

Yup! And Dreadnought apparently. I recall you and teeks mentioning I should check out Gatecreeper a while back, but I'm slow on the uptake.

The Dillinger Escape Plan are apparently playing three shows (well, two more - they played last night) at a tiny pizza place down the street from my place. I guess these were just announced after the Soundgarden tour was cancelled? It's a capacity 200 place and doesn't even have a legit stage, so I'm intrigued.

Anyone know anything about a Canadian band called Rheostatics? Will be in Toronto tomorrow and they are playing The Horseshoe. Will do my own research, but wondering if they are good live?

You should definitely go to that but wear a helmet.

The Toasters at Beat Kitchen 9/14.
Figured that would be up Riot Fest's alley, and the scheduling is strange as well.

They can still just call it a RF after (well, pre- I guess) show, even though they're not on the lineup.

Anyone have a strong opinion on either Sam Outlaw or Matthew Logan Vasquez? Those are my options for tonight but I'm feeling pretty lazy so I'll need some convincing either way.

IDK if this is part of new tour dates but Sun Kil Moon is at Old Town on 10/3.

Sam Outlaw had a ton of hype but it all sort of mellowed after this new album had a mixed reception.

I enjoyed their live set at the Bottle for whatever show that was. Can't remember who else was on that bill.

i've passed on them the past few times so they could've tightened it up since the last flop i saw in like 2015 (unfortunately i didnt like Paradise Gallows nearly as much as i did The Cavern or Sky Burial so that doesn't help)

Tears for Fears and Hall and Oats are on Stubhub for $9 rn. $15 after fees. Should I? Yes. Tears for Fears' cover of "Creep" is worth that alone.
