september 15 - sheer mag at thalia
overlaps with riot fest friday, but with two openers and starting at 9:30 that's basically just a killer aftershow

So the buyer for my Nick Cave tickets is sounding kind of iffy, does anyone here want them before I put them on the market? Third row pit center. Are you not going anymore or are those extras?

Yeah, if it weren't for Jawbreaker I would have no trouble doing: Fri - Sheer Mag at Thalia; Sat - Riot Fest; Sunday - Thee Oh Sees at Thalia.
Not sure I'm gonna feel like going back to Thalia Sunday night if I do Riot Fest that day.

Lawrence, KS is banging it out this fall. Sept. 18th - Sheer Mag @ the Bottleneck Oct. 5th - Angel Olsen @ Granada Oct. 12th - Big Thief @ the bottleneck Sometimes I view Lawrence in competition with Columbia for booking acts, but you all have KC close by. Conor Oberst announced some dates today, including one in CoMo in October, I'll probably go to that.

I haven't seen how they're divided, but the list of openers he's got for this stretch of tour dates is real solid.

oh that's nice. now if only big thief would add a venue show as well. Why tho Cuz they'll get a longer set as headliners. I believe Overcoats have top billing at Pritzker for some reason. Also Big Thief were really great at Schubas a few months ago.

Oh, that makes sense. Do they have enough material to play a longer set?

This will be their second full-length, and I think there might be something else out there? I think their Schubas set was 45-50 minutes, so they could do an hour without too much trouble.

Speaking of events at Pritzker, I just realized they don't have any ticketed shows there this year. I wonder why that is?

Big Thief is playing at Pygmalion down in Champaign in late September, so I would assume there will be a Chicago show the day before or the day after.
