That Ozzy show at Tinley that Wretched mentioned is official now, 9/21.
Want to see Ozzy one last time but don't want to drive to Tinley ever again. We'll see how this plays out, maybe a voucher will tip the scales.

Ed Sheeran is playing Soldier Field 10/4 apparently. Between that and the Stapleton show at Tinley Live Nation is really rolling the dice with these fall outdoor shows.

Oh that's even better. While it's a long shot, that show could get cancelled be either weather OR sports. Bold move Live Nation.
Edit: Nvm I forgot Milwaukee has a retractable roof.

What is a show in a football stadium even like? Is it enjoyable at all?

It's not that different than a show at Wrigley if you've done that.

What is a show in a football stadium even like? Is it enjoyable at all? I've seen two football stadium shows, U2 in 09 and GNR in 16, both from cheap seats and both were honestly enjoyable, but it helped that both had really huge production. It's obviously far from ideal and i wouldnt wanna see most acts in that setting but it does work

I've never done a wrigley show either actually, though I feel like I might this summer if Fleetwood Mac actually happens/happens there. I only ask because my fiancee is somewhat interested in the T Swift tour and I really don't imagine seats that cost less than $100 each are gonna be good at all and I also don't feel like shoving myself into the 400s of soldier field with a trillion screaming children.

I've taken my daughter to see Taylor there twice, and we were up in the nose bleeds both times. She loved it, it wasn't great being that far away, but it was still good. Like others said, it was a huge production made for a stadium, so it's not an ordinary show.

I've never seen him before but based on the few setlists I've checked out he's done like 1 or 2 pavement covers

What is a show in a football stadium even like? Is it enjoyable at all? I kind of forgot I ever attended this show until this conversation got brought up, but I saw Metallica at Soldier Field last year and it ruuuuuuuuled. Football stadium shows are awesome.

FUCK YEAH MALKMUS IRT thebosma I'll second what mookie said. I've been to a few stadium shows and while it's not my favorite way to experience live music, I can say I've never been disappointed. We had some of the worst seats in the stadium for Taylor Swift's last tour, but I still felt engaged by the show (thank in large part of the LED wristbands received by every attendee before the show began).

Malkmus is the same night as Primus/Mastodon here but probably 1/4th of the cost so that's where I'll end up.
