I feel like that will not sell but idk It won't. Like facts said, it'll do as well as Arcade Fire did, so TONS of room up in the upper decks.

i think it'll do better than arcade fire, if only because the prices are cheap to start for this one. the AF prices were ridiculous and had to be dropped a ton due to no one buying.
there's a clear gap for a 2nd uc show, who knows if it'll be warranted though.

I think it might sell if there were not a bunch of other dates surrounding it. We'll see.

I think it might sell if there were not a bunch of other dates surrounding it. We'll see. yeah, it makes you wonder why they specifically called out the nyc/la/chicago shows yesterday, including the arenas hosting them teasing them, but then they're just part of a whole tour.

Were we just the 3 cities "lucky" enough to get to win that guitar?

the show post was separate from the guitar contest posts, but yeah maybe it was all just the same.

Oh I think Chicago will sell fine. I think it's the other non core markets that will tank

I mean what's it been like 20 years since Iha played in the band? Even with the drama this should do fine

OG pumpkins were much larger than AF have ever been . Not arguing that at all, but again like facts said in the other thread, Billy has been dragging the Pumpkins name around for the past 10 years or so, and just adding James back in really isn't going to make that much of a difference

See my post in the SP thread, but Iha isn't exactly on the same level as Slash in terms of star power. He's not going to be enough to give them the bump from playing in theaters to a couple thousand people to selling 20,000 tickets in an arena. I've been a Pumpkins fan for most of my life, yet for some reason the first time I'd seen them was the acoustic-ish tour they did a couple years ago. It was a good show, but I have little to no desire to see them again outside of a festival set, especially at arena prices. Bright side: maybe this will end up on the voucher list whenever TM releases those for this year? When does that usually happen?

Yeah I'm just going to have faith in the secondary market on this one. With Sleep, Priests and now Courtney taking my money this week I have nothing for Billy, especially not like a hundo bones.

I feel like that will not sell but idk i bet it's a groupon show at some point. Given my memories of what their live show was back in the 90s, I'm not even sure I'd be willing to pay Groupon prices to see them now.

If they have voucher shows again this year, I seriously doubt these would be included.

Gonna go ahead and say Pumpkins will sell maybe 60% of Banker's Life. Yeah...I'm counting on that. I'd like to see them, but won't be buying tickets when they come out. I imagine I'll be able to get real cheap ones the week of, if not win some on do317.

It'll be like John Carpenter where half the board will win tickets

Given my memories of what their live show was back in the 90s, I'm not even sure I'd be willing to pay Groupon prices to see them now. i saw them in 94, 96, 98, and thought they were fantastic live, but they were also unpredictable somewhat show-to-show. the 96 show was a 3-encore, nearly 3-hour set with a 20-minute silverfuck to end it, but the night before it was an hour and a half show. that 98 show was at horde fest to promote adore, and that one was kinda strange. definitely not hit-filled.
