I've heard big things about that band but I'm not sure if I'm gonna end up scooping a ticket. I am almost certainly in for Palehound on the 28th however

I was just notified that "The Music of Prince" show with the KC Symphony has been canceled at the request of the Prince Estate. Apparently, they are planning their own tribute tour....

I’m trying to decide between Palm/The Hecks on Tuesday, this on Thursday, or Wolves in the Throne room on Friday. I’m probably only good for one, maybe two of them.

Well I just pulled the trigger on Shame myself. By the description of the band alone this is something I should be into

Coheed and Cambria just posted a date with Taking Back Sunday Aug 2nd in Sugar Land, TX
I would guess that will be a full tour, can't find other dates yet tho

I would assume open air but isn't that being moved or whatever?

Open Air is supposedly moved to August, but if we're making assumptions about a Coheed/TBS tour at a Chicago festival, Riot Fest would be the safest bet.

Yeah, TBS are BFFs with Riot, so I'm sure they'd either just do a separate Chicago stop, or would skip Open Air. I could see Coheed playing Open Air though.

the university i work at has an "academy of contemporary music" that's like another college or department, and they have a free festival every year in downtown okc. they've had nile rodgers, guided by voices, dan deacon, moby (dj), english beat...
this year's headliners are the revolution and mavis staples.
who sings for the revolution - various members take a turn?

Yeah no idea who the guest vocalist was. His best Prince impression was to jump around a lot, though.

Open Air is supposedly moved to August, I somehow missed any talk about this. Can I ask if there's any supporting info?

Fair enough.
I know they have an unusually close relationship with Jose Mangan. Wouldn't surprise me if he knows something. Hopefully, they don't try to land on Lolla weekend.

I see the comment in a subreddit now.
But then, someone else indicated that Toyota Park is booked for the weekend he supposedly referenced.
I don't think any of this is particularly noteworthy.
