In today's random news, board darlings Warpaint and Kacey Musgraves (and also Leon Bridges) are opening various dates for the upcoming Harry Styles tour Gonna try to get Harry Styles up to board darling status with how good his solo debut is

Was that not already confirmed? Ed is doing his solo album and Thom is scoring the new Suspiria remake. Also Jonny is scoring the new PTA film that comes out at the end of the year. It sucks that they aren't touring more but like, I get it.

if you consider confirmed meaning "it seemed like they weren't" and not them saying "we're done after july" then sure.

Anybody done one of these living room shows? Eric Bachmann (not Ehrlich) is playing Archers of Loaf/Crooked Fingers material in a few weeks here in KC. Debating about going.

I don't think anyone here is going, but Aretha's June 17th Ravinia show is rescheduled to Sept. 3rd, she can't travel right now under doctor's orders.

I have free pavilion seats to that but I wasn't going to go that weekend, too much else going on... I might go in September.
EDIT: No I won't, that's during North Coast. Oh well.

It will end up getting cancelled altogether anyway, I don't know why they even bother with the veil of postponement.

I originally had a pair of cheap seats to Nick Cave before upgrading by buying alady's pit tickets a few days ago. Was about to try to offload those tickets when I realized that they were supposed to be mailed to me but I never got them.
What can I do? Might be too late to have them try to ship them again before the show. Would they be able to print me a new pair of tickets if I stopped by the theater? Would prefer not to have to get them at will call because I need to sell them. A refund would be fine, but idk if they would do that.

In my experience will call is going to be your only option here, but I think you should still call TM and ask. Last time this happened to me I'm not even sure their electronic ticket transfer thing existed.

I don't think the Nick Cave sale was through ticketbastard tho, I think it was direct through the Auditorium

if you consider confirmed meaning "it seemed like they weren't" and not them saying "we're done after july" then sure. Yeah I meant to put quotes around "confirmed". Either way, it's a bummer. I was really hoping to catch them this tour, especially since I couldn't make it to their KC date this year.

someone help me decide if I want to see At the Drive In tomorrow or not. My friend bailed on me so I'd be going alone probably and Jim Ward's not in the band anyway which kind of sucks, so I was considering selling them. But I don't really have back-up plans and I've been wanting to see them for a minute.

Just go. I can't tell you how many times I've thought about staying home because I was too tired or didn't want to go alone or it was too much of a hassle or whatever and I've rarely (if ever) had any regrets about going to see a band I love (or even a band I just like for that matter). I don't know if other folks have the same experience, but at least half the time when I go to a show on my own there are people who want to chat and/or bro down over the music. You'll be in a room with a bunch of people who all have at least one thing in common - a love for ATDI.
Besides, you also never know what will happen at any given show. That's part of why we love live music isn't it? When I was thinking about staying home a few weeks ago, I instead kept my plans to see Bash & Pop. I was rewarded with an unexpected set list where they didn't play a single tune from their first album and I met Sen. Tim Kaine. And not to be macabre, but you never know when your last chance to see this band might be.
Just go.
