On the bright side VW is playing what is my favorite venue in the city easily
On the downside it's all GA and smaller than they'd probably normally play so tickets are all $90 after fees. Oof.

Back on the VW news, I wasn't sure if Greta Morgan would still be with the band when they tour this summer, but she just posted that she'll still be with them. Hope they give her more to do than they did at the Metro.

Chicano Batman is a v good opener (and the perfect length set) but I'm kinda surprised there isnt bigger support. More power to them if it sells well

Also checking on FloMo, everything is still available including pit. Maybe there will be a weak secondary market for that one after all. god pit is $110 plus fees. florence of all ppl shouldnt have a more expensive pit than seats.

I haven't gone to a show yet this year but my calendar is starting to pile up. Beginning of March is gonna get rough.
2/16: Anderson .Paak at the Riv 2/21: Tourist/Gilligan Moss at Sleeping Village 3/2: Kiss at the United Center (dependent on secondary market. Not close to selling out so I feel good). 3/6: Robyn at the Aragon 3/7: Reignwolf at Cobra Lounge OR All Them Witches/Plague Vendor at Lincoln Hall (no ticket for either yet) 3/8: Angel Du$t at SubT, maybe stick around for Wicca Phase Springs Eternal after them 3/9: SXSW Send Off Party at the Hideout 3/12: Vince Staples/JPEGMAFIA at the Riv 3/22: Varsity at Thalia Hall (no ticket yet) 3/23: Better Oblivion Community Center at Lincoln Hall 3/26: Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats/Graveyard at the Metro (no ticket yet) 4/6: Middleditch & Schwartz at the Chicago Theatre 4/15: Electric Wizard at the Riv (no ticket yet) 4/16: of Montreal at Lincoln Hall 4/19: Sunn O))) at Rockefeller Chapel 4/22: Priests at Lincoln Hall 5/2: Turnover/Turnstile at the Concord

Ah - we have tickets for the Lincoln Park Beer Fest that day. Seems like we could double up, but we would be sloppppppppppy. I mean this seems ideal really beer fest at park west -> cook your own dinner of fondued cheese and chocolate at geja's next door -> back at park west for maya rudolph.

Got a “ cheap “ ticket for VW. $20 in fees for a 39.50 ticket :/ I just noticed they added lawn to the map, although they are not selling tickets there yet. Maybe they'll add if/when everything else sells out. They put the lawn on sale now, $26.50 + fees if anyone was looking for a cheap way in.

Pro: JAM must be reading the board and saw our posts about how we would like more manatee shows on the weekend Con: It's for Billie Eilish and I still don't know what that is Just found out that my daughter loves this Billie Eilish... and the second show immediately sold out. Great.

That..... seems ambitious of her. At least that almost guarantees cheap tickets though. File this under "takes that went real bad real fast"

Do Cage the Elephant have a Grammy? I assume they're announcing a tour with Beck tomorrow.

A Greta the Elephant tour sounds like hell on earth so given the times we live in I'm going to assume it's a go

Nah Greta don't need to share a bill with the likes of CtE anymore. They'll probably just do a couple of their own shows at Wrigley or Soldier Field or whatever.
