K pop babbyyyyy I don’t think they’ve been in the US before but one of our resident experts can correct me on that.

K-pop is big now gang.
I am seeing Red Velvet this Friday and I doubt I should travel for two k-pops in the span of two months, but BLACKPINK rips.

Can someone give me a rough timeline of when that happened? My sister tried to explain that to me once but it didn’t compute
Edit: this is regarding k-pop can we please stop talking about the goddamn chainsmokers

I feel like I knew it was here when G-Dragon easily sold out the UC a couple of years ago.

The long answer probably has a lot to do with how we as a society responded to One Direction but the short answer is Gangnam Style

I feel like I knew it was here when G-Dragon easily sold out the UC a couple of years ago. Wasn’t really the actual whole UC. They had a small floor section and only front facing seats for like 1/3 of the length of the place. Probably like 7000 capacity. Still really big, but nowhere near the entire UC.

Seems weird they'd do Pitchfork again so soon (maybe it wasn't that soon?)

I didn't think anyone was clamoring for the return of B&S but who knows

It also has them doing 8 shows in 10 days which seems like a lot to me but I don’t know anything.
I have not seen them before but would really really like to

Not sure if B&S are still on good terms with Pitchfork after being the target of their "The Unbearable Whiteness of Indie" piece like 4-5 years ago. Stuart pulled their Liner Notes video for IYFS from the site, if I recall correctly. Who knows tho, time and money may have mended that spat.

I...did not enjoy that 2013 set. My wife and I were both psyched for it, too.
