Marina at the Aragon Sept. 23rd Did she ever come close to playing a room that big before? Am I missing something here? Damn was hoping she would be at Lolla Well at least it should be easy to get cheap tickets on the secondary market |

Speaking of college radio I guess several Chicago stations are partnering with lincoln Hall/schubas now to do shows? Loyola is doing the girlpool one and uChicago is putting the Steve Gunn show on One of my friends at the UChicago station (WHPK.org - check it out!) is an extremely talented guitarist who is starting to play actual solo shows around the city, I think he even has one at Constellation soon-ish. Name's Eli Winter, check him out too  Anyways, he has played shows with Steve Gunn before (in TX) and sat in with Daniel Bachman last time he played the Bottle. I wouldn't be surprised if Eli had a hand in securing that partnership for the Gunn show. Pretty cool to see LH/ST willing to work with college radio folks <3 |

Anyone else going to Paak tomorrow? I have a relatively large group going but would like to increase that for power in numbers in what is sure to be a shitty oversold Riviera experience.

Wasn't really mentioned anywhere but Tayla Parx has been opening the tour so far. I'm probably going to still try to be on time though. |
