Why these two?
- Iceage has 4 albums, all reviewed very favorably, and have appeared on the Board Dot's AOTY list every time. Protomartyr, has 4 albums all reviewed favorably, 3 of which have showed up on our AOTY list, but only b/c no one knew about them on their first record.
- Both are at the top of their game as post-punk revivalists in the 2010s.
- We haven't had a meaningful poll in awhile.
- I feel that both of these bands are excellent, which should cause people to hate this poll quite a bit.
- Both incorporate board darlings as their influences - Nick Cave especially.
- I'm bored.
So who you got?

Iceage easy for me. I like 2 of their albums alot, compared to 0 for Proto

love em both but Iceage considerably more based on the last 2 albums and all their live shows
(no shade at Protomartyr tho who also have had 2 great recent albums and good live shows)

Looooolll... Proto hands down. Probably the most influential band for me right now. I liked earlier Iceage more than their newer sound.

Protomartyr for now, didn't like Iceage at first but the new album reminds me to give their previous releases another shot.

Protomartyr is the better band but that isn't Iceages fault.
Altho it is funny everyone has just forgotten all the Iceage "chic facism" shit as it steamrolls the seemingly "less woke" metal scene

I like Iceage (and am going to see them tonight), but would rank all of the last 3 protomartyr albums over any Iceage album. So, protomartyr is a very easy pick for me. Though I’m also pretty biased on this one

This went about as I expected it to. Despite more critically favored albums by Iceage, I find more people are interested in Protomartyr. Personally, I'm all about Iceage, but a lot of that stems from Plowing Into the Field of Love, which is my favorite album from 2014. I can't compare their live show, since I've only see Proto live, twice - once opening for Cloud Nothings (and they were terrible), and then back in March (and they were great).
Though, in Proto's defense, I like all four of their records almost equally, only Relatives of Descent being slightly above the rest. Iceage doesn't have a dud, but You're Nothing is my least favorite.
