I could do this if this was for studio recordings; I'm not familiar enough with the variations in the many live versions of dead songs.

Check out the US Blues on Dick's Picks Vol 12! It's my favorite because it enters from an incredible 30-minute jam and vamps on the opening riff for a while. |

Louisville TOO is a monster, no doubt, but I love how free-form the WG jam is, especially cool to see them branching into new places without relying on something from their classic jam repertoire (i.e. MLB jam, Feelin' Groovy, Spanish, etc). Then, Alligator > Caution is one of my all-time favorites, as has been discussed in this thread before. EXTREMELY proto-Allmans around 9:00 of Alligator, and the drumming here is maybe the best it ever was w/ Mickey. Stella Blue is one of their best ever ballads tho, so I expect the competition to be fierce! |

And for voting - basically just go into the bracket. Click the "Vote Now!" icon. That'll bring up the matchups that we're voting on each day. The format is pretty fucky in the beginning because of all the byes. So most of them are procedural and boring today. But then just pick whichever track you like most, submit, and it'll show up on my end.

as you all know, "this bracket is not for" me, but my two favorite dead songs are US Blues and He's Gone. And I'm not of fan of when the dead cover (in this case) the rascals (or marty robbins, for that matter), but I do like their dylan covers.
